Japan property research: a directory for all 47 prefectures
Find the right research starting point across Japan: prefectures, municipal records, property data, rental guides and address-specific map checks.
Independent Tokyo property research. Guides and tools; no live listings or brokerage.
Choose a prefecture, then identify the municipality and the exact address. A prefecture is a starting point for research; conditions must be checked for the actual property and intended use.
Separate three kinds of evidence
Official data helps establish context. Provider documents describe a proposal. Your own brief explains the task the property must support. Keep the source, date, geographic scope and unresolved questions with every note. An asking price is not the same as a recorded transaction, and a map layer is not a building inspection.
Place commercial premises research within a wider operating brief.
What this directory covers
The directory names all 47 prefectures and connects them to a brief-building tool and national reference sources. It is not a catalogue of every local rule, station or available property. Prefecture names follow the J-LIS directory; English labels are provided for navigation. The detailed keyword collection remains focused on Tokyo and its 23 wards.
